Answer the following questions in not more than 30 words each. 

1. How did grandmother convinced to keep Tutu as a pet?

Grandmother convinced to keep Tutu as a pet because you always wanted a girl in the house. She thought that girls were less troublesome than the boys.

2. Why did the narrator follow Aunt Ruby and Rocky secretly to the jeweller's shop?  What reason did Tutu have to follow them?

Aunt Ruby and Rocky were going to buy an engagement ring and the narrator also wanted to go with them. But Aunt Ruby did not want so .That’s why the narrator followed them secretly to the jeweller's shop. Tutu came to know about that plan. So she also planned to follow them.

3. Why did the people in the bazaar Chase Tutu?

Tutu wore a gold necklace and ran away. The shopkeeper, aunt Ruby and narrator followed her. Other people saw them running after Tutu. They also did so. That’s why they also started chasing her.

4. What did Tutu do with the necklace? How was it resorted to the shopkeeper ?

Before going to home Tutu threw the necklace into the canal and got rid of it. In order to find  the necklace, all the people who were chasing Tutu  jumped  into the canal. After twenty minutes Rocky found the necklace and he returned it to the shopkeeper.


5. Why do you think some guests were not seen for several days after marriage?

The wedding cake was prepared by grandmother was spoiled by Tutu by adding Spices, herbs egg shells, red chilli sauce, bitter gourd seeds.  It's true that some of the guests were not seen for several days after the marriage. But no one said anything against the cake. Most people thought that it had an interesting flavour.



 *Q*  Some animals have a sharp mind. They amaze us by their actions. Do you think they are able to think in the right direction why or why not?

 *Ans* Animals have a sharp mind we can see in our homes. We have pets like dogs, cats etc. Pets are naughty and they copy their masters. Pets are mischievous.  Animals are as sharp as human. They are able to think in the right direction because they are honest but they are not taught to be honest. In this way, they use their own mind of being honest.  So , we can say that pets are also able to think in the right

                                                               My Pet

Ans. Pets are like our family members. I have a dog as a pet. I call it as Tommy. Its colour is white and brown, patches on its body. It is a four - footed animal. It has two bright eyes it has two ears sharp teeth and small tail. It is very useful and faithful animal. Tommy is very active and playful. Tommy normally eats vegetarian food like milk, chapatti, bread etc. I like to play with Tommy. When i throw ball, it runs after it and brings it back by holding it in its mouth. When i come back from school, my dog begins to jump in joy. I love my pet very much. It is treated as a member of the family. I take great care of it. My parents also love the dog. Tommy is a clean dog and never spoils the house

 *Question* What was the name of the monkey and from where did the grandfather bought him?

 *Answer*  The name of the monkey was Tutu and grandfather bought him from a street entertainer for the sum of ten rupees.

 *Question 2.* Who was Rocky and where did he belong to?

 *Answer*  Rocky Fernandes was a school teacher from Goa .Rocky was a tall firm - jawed  , good-natured man.


*Question* Who stole the necklace from the jeweller's shop and what did he do with it?

 **Ans* Tutu , the monkey, stole the necklace from the jeweller's shop. On his way to the market when he noticed that many people were chasing him, in order to get rid of it , he threw the necklace into a canal.


*Question*Who prepared the wedding cake and what happened with the wedding cake?

 *Ans* Grandmother prepared the wedding cake. Tutu often helped with the cooking, and, when  grandmother was not looking, he added herbs , spices and other interesting items to the pot and spoiled the cake.
